Today marks 109 years since Brother William Marrion Branham was born in that little log cabin way up in the hills of southern Kentucky. It seems that every time we post an article honoring his birthday that we get emails from critics saying that we are lifting a man too high or that he was not the prophet we think he is. The critics simply don’t like us even mentioning his name, and in the grand scheme of the world, they certainly don’t think that this is a day that could be considered special.
- Would it qualify for a special day if the same Pillar of Fire that was in the burning bush and rested upon the disciples at the day of Pentecost once again became visible after 2,000 years?
- Would it qualify for a special day if a prophet was born?
- Would it quality for a special day if the birth of that prophet started a chain of events that changed the religious world?
- Would it qualify for a special day if the man born on that day would show the sign of the Messiah for the first time since the death of the apostles?
- Would it qualify for a special day if the Lord Jesus, through this man, would show us that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever?
- Would it qualify for a special day if thousands of people would be healed during his ministry, and millions more after the Lord took him Home?
- Would it qualify for a special day if that ministry would start a healing revival that swept the world?
- Would it qualify for a special day if a man was born who would one day be loved by 3 million people worldwide?
- Would it qualify for a special day if that man’s voice would give daily encouragement to people in every country on earth?
These things have already happened, and through that man, God has given us promises of even greater things to come!
What if that day in the hills of southern Kentucky had never happened? Where would we be? We would be in the same spot as those who criticize us for honoring the birth and life of one of the most powerful prophets ever to walk the earth.
