Brothers and Sisters,
We are so thankful to our Lord Jesus today for the life of a great servant, Brother Jim Maguire, who has just reached his new Home in Glory.
Brother Jim was the original Tape Boy, traveling with Brother Branham from way back in the late 1950’s. As we all know, he was the one who Brother Branham hand-picked to record each Message on tape, so we could have the Voice of the Seventh Angel at our fingertips today.
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
REVELATION 10:7
After Brother Branham’s passing, Brother Jim never shunned his commission to make the tapes available to the Bride around the world. While he worked in the construction field to support his family, Brother Jim and Brother Fred Sothmann continued to duplicate the tapes in the basement of Brother Fred’s house from 1966 until they were hired at the establishment of Voice Of God Recordings in 1981.
More than his captivating personality that believers just loved to be around, and even more than the incredible witness that he was as he shared testimony after testimony of times when he traveled with Brother Branham, Brother Jim will be most remembered by preserving the revealed Word of God for our day on tape.
Now, Paul was saying that to his Hebrew audience. Now, they didn’t have tape recorders, today, like we got here. But they had scribes who was setting there, taking It down just as Paul was preaching It.
And that’s what It is right here. We’re getting It by tape recorders, and these tapes go over the world, see, to show that It is the Truth. Our religion is not in vain, It’s absolutely the resurrected Jesus Christ, same thing. Now we mustn’t neglect It.
Brother Jim, you followed Brother Branham everywhere, recording the Message of the hour so we can hear it today. And now, you’ve followed him to Glory, 57 years later, almost to the exact day. We thank our Lord Jesus for your dedicated life. For He used you as a great tool to bring a precious Message from the Throne of God to our hearts. We will see you soon in Glory, and will know exactly where to find you…by the side of our precious prophet, Brother William Marrion Branham. “We love you.”
