OLD FASHIONED REVIVAL AT TABERNACLE

October 6th marked the close of one of the greatest meetings we have ever had in Bible Hour Tabernacle. Words fail in trying to describe it but we will attempt to give a few of the highlights of the two weeks' meeting with over 200 conversions, many baptized with the Holy Spirit, and we have cards of over 2,500 in the prayer line for the healing of their bodies from 20 different states. Our crowds grew from the first evenings of only a few hundred until 1,600 were packed into the auditorium and extra rooms, and hundreds turned away on the outside with a conservative estimate of over 12,000 different people who attended these services.

Our evangelist was Rev. Wm. Branham of Jeffersonville, Indiana, who was with us for one week's services during the month of May. God so blessed his ministry with us during that period of time that we were very anxious for his return. God has blessed his ministry with the gift of Divine Healing which Brother Branham says was entrusted with him one year and five months ago. Since that time he has prayed for thousands, and wonderful answers to prayer have been seen. Many have asked, "Is everybody healed?" No, they are not. Brother Branham explains it in this way — that regardless of the gospel preacher it is impossible to get everyone to believe. However, if they are obedient and believe the gospel, they can be saved. Salvation and healing were purchased at the same time and were intended for the human race.

Branham Family image The very first night of our meeting, one lady and her two children were prayed for who had come all the way from California just for this service. God honored her faith and she was well rewarded for her trust in Him. Many outstanding miracles took place during this meeting—which I know sounds unreasonable to the natural, but we must remember that all things are possible if we only believe! We will use many of these in this paper each month and give full name and address of each. Be sure to receive the paper each month to be assured of these testimonies and messages of interest.

You see, we have prayer cards with names and addresses of the individuals who were prayed for, their diseases, also church affiliation. For your information, in the prayer line were people from nearly all churches and denomi nations. The same God loves all of us and the same Jesus who died for our sins was striped for our healing.

One outstanding healing that took place during the meeting was that of a man totally blind, from Kennett, Mo. He was prayed for about 1:00 p.m., and on the way home, while riding in a car, the power of God came upon him, the cane fell from his hands and his eyesight was completely restored. He arrived in Kennett and began to go up one street and down the other testifying of that which God had done for him. I was called long distance by Brother Chas. Davis from Kennett who stated he lived near this man and had known him for years and that he had testified in the Assembly of God Church that morning and was going to the Pentecostal Church that night and telling everyone what had taken place. Oh, friends, it is glorious to know that "Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever."

We asked Brother Branham to pray especially for the sick and shut-ins during our two radio programs on Sunday. Hundreds of letters were received from listeners who were blessed by these services and some came in person to the Tabernacle to witness how God answered prayer for them during the broadcast. Just a few minutes after our morning broadcast, the last Sunday he was with us, a long distance call was received from Paragould, and a lady stated that during the broadcast she did as she was asked to do during prayer and was instantly healed of a large tumor. Others verified this statement.

Space will not permit me to mention hundreds of other wonderful healings that took place, such as when he prayed for goiters, deaf and dumb, cancers, tuberculosis, and divers others. We will have several of them in next month's issue.

Brother Branham is a Baptist minister filled with the Holy Ghost and has baptized over 5,000 people in *the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. He preaches without fear or favor and attributes all results to the power of God. He emphasizes the fact that he has only the Gift of Healing — not of miracles, but sometimes miracles are permitted to help people believe (I Cor. 12:5-12).

Brother Branham came here after conducting a wonderful two weeks' campaign at the Houston Gospel Tabernacle, Houston, Texas, with Brother W. E. Kidson, pastor. Brother Kidson wrote and also stated publicly while attending our revival one evening that it was one of the greatest manifestations of God's power that he had ever witnessed in his 32 years of ministry. Brother Bran-ham's wife and two children joined him here for the week-end; also a number of his members at Branham Tabernacle in Jeffersonville, Indiana, attended these services. Among those present were Sister Margie Morgan, a graduate nurse of 21 years' experience who was healed of cancer. She gave her testimony while here and it was also published in the August issue of this paper.

After a two weeks' rest in the Rockies, Rev. Branham plans a few days' meeting at the Pentecostal Church in Corning, Ark. — to be followed with a large meeting in Poplar Bluff, Mo., thence to El Dorado, Ark. We will give his schedule of appointments as far as possible in this paper each month so that you may attend when he is near your place.

We are looking forward to his return here next summer, the Lord willing, for one month for an old-fashioned camp meeting. We are planning a large annual camp ground and have the promise of his large tent that will seat over 5,000 people and also his services for that time. We will tell you more about that in a later issue.
