A Letter From Brother Joseph

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

For our friends overseas who may not know what the Thanksgiving holiday is, it is a time that the American people reflect on all the blessings the Lord has given us. This is a time when families sit around the supper table with their loved ones and thank the Lord for His mercy. Although the true meaning behind Thanksgiving may be overshadowed by ball games or parades, there are a few of us who are truly thankful.

As we walk down the street, we see the world with their heads down, worrying about their bank accounts or their retirement. But there is a group of people that stands out from the world. They have a pep in their step and a smile on their face. Who is this group of people and why are they so happy?

That group of people is the Bride of Christ, and we are happy because our Saviour is on His way! Daddy said, “Don't look down and be weary. We're just coming to the place for the coming of our Lord Jesus. Instead of being weary, we should be the most happiest people in the whole world. And we are.”

Imagine if we didn’t have those promises. Our heads would probably be pretty low just like everyone else! The world may be worried about politics, finances, and wars, but we are looking for that glorious day when “the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Oh friends! How thankful we should be!

I pray the Lord Jesus will grant each of you a happy Thanksgiving. After all, if anyone should be happy, it is us.

God bless you.
Brother Joseph
