I Am With You

The Lord is in the small things just as much as He is in the great things. We don’t need the Lord to part the Red Sea or come down in a Pillar of Fire to know that He is watching over us. Sometimes He takes the smallest experience to say, “I am with you.” We posted Sister Anna’s testimony a few weeks ago. She and her husband had long desired a baby when the Lord stepped on the scene and answered their prayers. She recently gave birth to a son, and had some time to reflect while she was in the hospital. Alone in her room, the Lord gave her a little touch to say, “I am with you.” The following is her testimony.

Reading these testimonies makes me want to share what the Lord did for me the other night. I gave birth to our first child on July 30, our miracle baby which we'd waited seven years to receive. He had some problems during the first few days, which caused the doctors to not allow him to be released until Tuesday around noon. On Sunday night, it was my first night without my husband at the hospital with me. I felt like I especially needed to hear a tape. I had a little IPod (generic brand) and tried to turn it on. It froze up and would not go back off, or do anything for me. My baby had been taken to the nursery and I felt so alone. I asked the Lord to make it work and my prayer seemed unanswered. Then I recalled that there was a reset button that could be reached with a pin. Earlier that day I'd searched everything I'd brought with me and been unable to find a pin, so it seemed like that wouldn't do me any good. Then I remembered that, in the evening, a brother had brought a gift to us from his mother. It was a little Precious Moments doll that prays, and pinned to it was a prayer cloth. I got up and used that pin to reset the player and was able to listen to tapes all night long. What a blessing and comfort that was! I'm so glad that, when no one else is there, HE IS. I hope this testimony can be a blessing to someone else.

God Bless You.
