Garnett Peake

The feedback we have received from the most recent issue of Catch The Vision has been wonderful. The most popular story among the readers seems to be Garnett Peake. From the beginning of Garnett’s story, we could see that he was a believer. Every time Brother Branham prayed for him, the young man would get better and continue his battle to stay alive. Even though confined to his bed, his testimony was so strong that he even convinced his brother and sister-in-law to attend Brother Branham’s meetings. They were skeptical at first, but wholeheartedly accepted the Message after hearing the prophet with their own ears.

Regrettably, there was a typo in that story. The caption on page 7 states that the disease (polio) eventually took Garnett’s life. In reality, polio could have never killed Garnett. With Brother Branham’s prayers and the prayers of his friends and family, how could that disease take his life? It couldn’t! Brother Branham said about Garnett, “And neither did polio kill him. He didn't die by polio. No other disease killed him, that we prayed over, he and I, and the rest of the Christians here around Campbellsville, that prayed for him.”

This fact just makes his testimony even more special to us. How powerful is the prayer of a prophet?

If you haven’t read it yet, we hope you enjoy the article on Garnett Peake. Everyone who met him loved him.
