Acts 12:6: Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Yesterday, the Political Tribunal in Rasht, Iran sentenced Brother Youcef Nadarkhani to death for converting from Islam to Christianity and leading Muslims to the Lord Jesus Christ. He has 20 days for an appeal before his sentence is carried out. The believers in Iran are doing everything they can to protest the decision, hoping to bring the case before the Iranian Supreme Court.

Is Jesus Christ the same today as He was 2,000 years ago? If the prayers of the saints were able to send an angel to Peter’s side and free him from Herod’s prison house, then the church is more than able, today, to receive an answer to our prayers.

John 14:14 says: If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. Once again, we call upon God’s people to lift our brother up before the Throne of God.
