Brother Branham said,

Many times people go out and see an evangelist, like for instance our Brother Billy Graham. What good would it do for me to try to be like Billy Graham? I couldn't do it if I had to. I've got a ministry that I've got to take care of. And the next man's got his ministry, and each one has got a ministry. Even to the housewife has a ministry, of ministering the Word of God.

55-0116A The Believer’s Position In Christ

So often, we think of a ministry as a brother standing in the pulpit, bringing the Word of God to a congregation. We forget that each of us has an obligation to minister to the world. Our ministry may be witnessing to the homeless man on the corner, packing MP3 players into the jungle, or equally important – teaching our children about the Word of God and raising Christian soldiers for the generation to come, if there is one.

For others, simply walking into the grocery store and carrying their testimony in their appearance and their character preaches a sermon that this world rarely sees. Each of us has a ministry from the Lord.

The following testimony is about a young lady who is living true to the ministry the Lord has given to her. As you will notice, this ministry has not given her wealth or fame, but we can only imagine its significance among the predestinated when the final chapter of time is closed.

Sometimes God allows the life of one person to be an inspiration to many others. There is a young sister in Alaska who has such a burden to see others know about the Message that I believe her story would inspire others. A few years ago she began by carrying tracts in her purse and leaving them in public places around town. Then the burden grew stronger, and she felt as though she was doing nothing to help others. She prayed about what else she could do.

Last year, the Lord laid it on her heart to have a stand at the farmers market. She sold homemade crafts and offered tracts, Bibles, and Bible story books for free. Many stopped by her stand and took material. Some even donated money to help her get more material. To her disappointment though, she only sold enough items to pay the cost of her stand and licenses.

She decided to try donating material to local institutions. When she went to ask at the library, she met a lady who had received material from her stand and wanted to get more. The lady was leaving the town to go back to her town that day, so she gave an e-mail address to reach her. Later she sent her mailing address, and this young sister mailed a package of tracts, a couple books, and tapes out to her. During 2009, Message material was donated to nine libraries, a daycare, a youth facility, and a prison. Many of those places told the sister “no” the first time she made a request to donate material. One of those libraries later thanked her for the donated material.

In 2010, she again had a stand at the farmers market and noted that the main ones who accepted material were from remote areas of Alaska. She also had tapes available, in addition to tracts, and many of the tapes were taken. Then with the help of a friend, this sister began looking up names of agencies all over the state of Alaska and then calling and asking to donate material.

During 2010, 78 places have said yes to receive donated materials. Some of those places only wanted Bibles and Bible stories, but many of them were also willing to receive Message material. She has sent 42 orders for material to be sent from Voice of God for this type of material. These are some of the books that her orders consist of: A Man Sent From God, A Prophet Visits South Africa, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, Beyond the Curtain of Time, He Ascended On High and Gave Gifts Unto Men, Jesus Christ Is God, Enticing Spirits, Brother Branham, The Presence of God Unrecognized, God Hiding Himself In Simplicity, and The Holy Ghost.

All sorts of places have agreed to receive material: hospitals, prisons, drug rehab centers, mental homes, juvenile facilities, adult daycare facility, correctional ministry, and the Salvation Army. It amazes me that one person could accomplish so much for the Lord. Her life reminds me of the woman Brother Branham tells of who rented out a place for an evangelist to preach and won Dwight Moody to the Lord. I trust this story will bless and inspire others.
