A couple of weeks ago, I had my two children and a friend with her two children in my vehicle. We had been at a craft class at another friend’s home. Shortly after leaving, we were waiting at a stoplight to turn out onto a major roadway. When the light turned green, I hesitated slightly, looking out ahead of me and seeing a car on the other side also planning to turn. I thought to myself, "This intersection is really narrow." So I thought, "I'll just proceed slowly as I turn." So I started to press on the gas pedal, and as I did, I glanced left to see an SUV approaching the intersection, and it did not look like it was going to stop. Stepping on the brakes, I honked my horn as the SUV drove right through the intersection. The diver didn't even hit the brakes until they were on the other side. She had been too busy talking to her passenger! Had we not stopped, she would have t-boned the driver's side of our vehicle.
As I started to drive through I said out loud, "Thank You Lord for helping us!"
The next day, I was in the kitchen doing some cleaning and had turned on the iPod. My husband had been listening to the tape, "The Antichrist." I let the tape finish and then it shuffled to start playing, "When Their Eyes Were Opened" 56-0420. During this tape, Brother Branham said this quote:
"When that car went right in front of you and you slammed the brakes and just barely missed him. You didn't realize that's Who it was setting at your side. He's been with you in so many things."
I believe this was the Lord reconfirming to me that not only did HE help me, but that He is the One in control! Praise His Holy Name!
