A Great Loss

On Saturday morning, November 27th, Brother Joseph Sanger of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, a fellow laborer in the work of Voice Of God Recordings, suffered a heart attack and went Home to be with the Lord.

A true servant of the Lord, not many knew about the work of Brother Joe, as we called him. Almost every day for 22 years, he translated letters and e-mails in the Spanish and Portuguese languages for VGR. Our brother has translated literally thousands of pieces of correspondence from the believers of Latin America as well as our response to them.

Brother Joe was a Spanish teacher for 39 years and he would translate for Voice Of God Recordings in the evenings after he worked on his lessons for school. He would often work late into the night to make sure our letters and e-mails were answered. It was not uncommon for us to receive e-mails at 11:30 at night. Brother Joe was very dedicated and loyal to those who wrote Brother Joseph and VGR.

Never one to seek recognition, our brother volunteered his labor and would only accept a computer and printer for the translation work. His joy was being able to translate for the Bride of Christ with whom he shared the same love for Jesus Christ and the Message that was sent to us.

We know Brother Joe is happy, as he is now with Sister Rosa, his wife, who went Home in July of 2001. Together with his prophet, his sweetheart, his mother and father, they now wait for us and all those lives that he touched through the gift the Lord gave him. This gift, he used until Friday evening on November 26, at 9:17p.m., when we received his last translation by e-mail.

You will be missed Brother Joe, but not forgotten!

I've always knowed this, and I've found this in my life of ministry. If you'll... If you want to serve God, serve His people. That's how you serve. As we love one another, we love God.
