Do You Fear Cancer?

If Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever, then He is still able to heal cancer. All we need to do is take Him at His Word like this sister from Congo did.

On Monday June 14, 2010, as prescribed by a program of the company, it was my turn to go to the cancer specialist to have a screening test for the cervix cancer.

After the test, they told me I had an inflammation and lesions on the cervix, showing that there was an infection or the beginning of a cancer. They prescribed a 10-day treatment, and after that period, I would have to go through another test.

When I came back to work, the doctor of the company told me the exact meaning of the results of my screening test. I was almost in panic, but I remembered the testimony of Sis. Anita Toy Wells posted on VGR website called “Do you fear cancer?” and I understood that it was why God had permitted my husband to give me this testimony. He had insisted so much for me to read it, without knowing what would happen to me few days later.

On July 27th, I went back to the doctor, and he told me it was not getting better, so the possibility of an infection had been rejected, and it meant it was a cancer. So he took a sample for another test.

Sis. Anita had referred to the testimony of Bro. Billy Paul’s healing in 2004, and she had prayed God to call her also on the tape, as He had done for Bro. Billy. So I also referred to their testimony, praying God to speak to me as well through His Word, and I started the exercise.

One night, while I was fighting with the negative thoughts of the devil that were discouraging me, I took the book “A Prophet Visits South Africa,” and I said: “Lord, I want you to talk to me.” When I opened the book, Bro. Branham was telling a sister, “You have a female trouble, the Lord heals you from your sickness.” I was filled with wonder to see that God had truly spoken to me, and I took this as a foundation where to build my faith.

When the opportunity arose, I was reading the testimony of Sis. Anita again, and it was encouraging me. When I saw that we must put our life in order, I looked in my life and fixed what had to be fixed, and then I felt so convinced that God was already on the scene and that something was happening in me.

On a Sunday, while I had a very strong desire to hear God speak, the leader announced that we would listen to the tape, “Be Certain Of God.” I felt my heart jump with joy, expecting God would speak to me. The whole sermon was wonderful, and at the end, the prophet said, “Even if your body shows some symptoms or signs, don’t believe them because you are healed, because I prayed for you.” Oh, my goodness, God directly speaking to His daughter, another conviction to add to the previous ones, I’m truly healed.

Few days later, the pastor came back from a trip, and preached a sermon that exposed my problem and it encouraged me in my faith. At the end, I went to see him. I told him my situation and how his sermon was concerning me, and he also encouraged me to continue to believe. He planned a series of meetings in that week, and I prayed God for these meetings to be for me an opportunity to be completely delivered. It was so wonderful that I am truly convinced I am healed, and notice, beloved, that the subject the pastor preached on during these meetings was about the woman with the blood issue who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and was healed.

After these meetings, I found out that this subject was exactly the same Scripture that had encouraged Sis. Anita when she had opened her Bible in church, and looked where she had put a check for her healing: Mark 5:34. Oh, it is so good and wonderful to confide in God. He still lives and speaks to His people through His Word. God confirmed and accepted my faith in simplicity.

I give God the glory for my healing and for bringing me closer to Him during this time, and may God richly bless Voice Of God for the publication of the testimonies, Sis. Anita for her testimony, and all those who will read this testimony for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
