I have a testimony to share. As humans it is easy to look at trials and ask “why” and question the situation. Recently we have had many small trials, and one day I turned on the music on Young Foundations. One song struck me, and I had to hear it several times over. It is "Praise His Name." The meaning of the words really struck me and I began singing whenever I thought of the finances and other things.
Then we were put to a test when our chickens started dying. I think it was only three day's time that six died. From information my husband had brought home, it appeared to be a virus and we knew the whole flock was in danger. My husband was asking the Lord to spare the flock, but I didn't even feel the faith to ask. The words of the song "Praise His Name" came to my mind though, and I just started thanking the Lord for the blessings I could think of.
Then I put on Expectation on MP3 disc #6. By the end of the sermon, all I could think of was how good God was, and it didn't matter if all our chickens died and none of our bills got paid, but I also knew that I could ask God and He could hear me. It has been five days now with no chickens dying. As the song says, I want to make praising His Name my ONLY GOAL.
May God richly bless each of you.
