Grandma

We receive hundreds of letters from prisoners all over the world, requesting Message books and CDs. Some of these letters are so moving that we take excerpts out, and put them in the Letters From Prisoners article. Every once in a while, one letter really stands out. This young man is incarcerated in Arizona and sent the following testimony about his grandma.

My-my, I received my first books. I was raised by a God-fearing, fire-breathing grandmother. You know the kind that tells you, you are going to hell, and you just give up right there cause you have no chance. Grandma could pray, and scream and cry all night long. I never wanted anything like that. But this, this Word from the Throne, I thank my grandma cause I know what is real. This don't get more REAL. Well you know how you got to tell someone when you find it, so I write Grandma. She tell me back that I'm no good. Well, I send Grandma a book. My Grandma write and tell me she sorry. Said she did not scream and yell while reading the book, but she did cry all night. She said she is writing you to get all the books and what more. I get out in a year and can't wait to get home, so Grandma and I can worship the Lord together. Thank you so much for my new life.
