In a matter of weeks, news of Brother Youcef’s case circled the world through the mainstream media, and millions of people joined this man’s gallant stand for the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, world leaders such as the United States, Canada, England, the European Union, and even the United Nations are calling out to the Iranian government to stop this medieval persecution of this young pastor and release him to return to his church and family, where he can serve the Lord freely, just as the Iranian constitution declares.

Right now, Brother Youcef Nardhakani remains in prison. His conviction of apostasy was upheld by both the Iranian Supreme Court and later, the lower court that convicted him in the first place. His crime? Accepting the Lord Jesus as his Saviour more than ten years ago.

Recently, world media has been buzzing with rumors of changing accusations or sentences. The case has now been sent to the Supreme Leader of Iran, where it will again be judged. No matter how dim the future looks, we are standing strong in the confidence that the Lord still answers prayer. Our faith remains in the same place it was two years ago when we first learned of this persecution. Our Brother Youcef is in the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, and what safer place could he be?

We have also reported on the persecution of other Iranian believers. The Lord opened the door for a few of them to flee the country, including the sister who is now nine-months pregnant. They are safer than they were in Iran, but still in need of our prayers. Three more brothers remain in prison, facing the same accusations as Brother Youcef.

For our friends in Iran who read this website, we would like to encourage you to have faith; there are thousands of your fellow believers in the end-time Message praying for you. Yes, God still answers prayer.
