I would just like to share with you a testimony of a long and rewarding Saturday. It’s usually a day, after a hard week at work, in which we get a chance to get our groceries and other things that we hadn’t time to get during the week. We had a lot of errands to make and things to purchase. We had recently restarted our YF Garden at church, about six weeks ago, and produce was beginning to come in, so we wanted to buy a market scale to weigh the goods, and also some cloth to sew aprons for the sisters in the garden.
A family had a new arrival in their home that same morning, a newborn baby girl, by God’s Grace, and we wanted to pay them a visit also. It was after our Quiet Time, around 10:30am, that we were getting ready to leave home. On choosing what to wear, I saw that my wife was wearing her black ‘Disciple 4 Christ” hoodie and a blue jeans skirt, so I thought why not wear my black ‘Disciple 4 Christ” hoodie and blue jeans, so I did. Little did I know that this ‘dress code’ would play a key note during the day.
As the day progressed, things were going quite well, as we visited the family and got the cloth, but we couldn’t find an appropriate market scale. So, on our way home we had to pass another route, and we decided to stop at a large supermarket (that we had never shopped in before) to get our groceries. As we entered the supermarket through the automatic doors, it seemed for a moment that every eye in there was upon us, and there were quite a lot of people in there. As we went from aisle to aisle gathering what we needed, we surprisingly found a pretty good market scale, which we promptly took.
Finally, as we made our way to the cashiers, we heard a voice beside us saying, “What church do you go to?” As I looked around I saw a young man sitting on a chair near the frozen meat section. Realizing that he was talking to us, I went across to meet him and to properly address the gracious question that he had. Definitely attracted by our attire, the young man seemed to be genuine in his approach, as we began to converse. Of course, his question could not be sufficiently answered without introducing him to Brother Branham, and he was eager to know more about this prophet. When I asked if he would like to have a sermon CD of Brother Branham, he gladly accepted.
As my wife made her way to the cashier, I told him that I would soon return, as I had some witnessing CDs in my van. As I rushed out the door, so excited, on the way to the vehicle, the thought then came to me that it was pretty close to the supermarket’s closing time. I should have told the security at the door that I was just going in the car-park to get something to return, so that they won’t think that I was trying to get in after closing hours. Anyhow, I was already in the van, and I took with me “Satan’s Eden”, “Why I’m Against Organized Religion”, and “The Voice Of The Sign” for him to choose from, along with some tracts. As I held them in my hands, I heard an announcement over the PA system that the grocery would be closing shortly. As I ran back to the entrance, from a distance I saw the sign “CLOSED” on the door. I thought, “That devil!”
On approaching the door, the security guard motioned to me that they were already closed. I drew nearer to explain my case to him, but he seemed very unwilling to allow me to enter, being that he didn’t see me go out. As I was explaining again what had happened to the guard, and that my wife was inside, I heard another voice from inside the doors saying to the security, “Yes, that man’s wife IS inside! She has on a jersey just like his!” This remark came from another stranger, a young man waiting to exit with his goods, who obviously had noticed us inside.
Upon hearing this word of confirmation, the guard had no choice but to admit me back inside. I felt like I had broken through some enemy troops carrying the Message of the King. I ran down the aisle to the first young man who was patiently waiting on me. He actually was employed with the supermarket. He was so glad that he took all three witnessing CDs and the tracts. I felt really fulfilled, and as I re-united with my wife, I told her what had just happened.
Later that night, I dropped by to see my mom and sisters (they have not yet received this Message, please remember them in prayer) on that same route, and even one of my sisters asked where we got those “nice jerseys.”
Finally we arrived home after a long day, and as I took off my hoodie to put it in the wash, I thought, “Today was really good! I should go out more often wearing these YF jerseys!”
Thank the Lord and VGR for these inspired raiment. The Lord bless you all richly.
Bro. Kye,
