The Little Things

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Psalm 103:2-3

It’s not always immediate. In fact, most of the time our healing comes over time. No matter if you receive a miracle right before your eyes, or you recover from the flu over two-weeks time, it’s still God that does it and we should give Him all the glory.

Dear Brethren, the God of Malachi 4 is here today in His Word as He gave to Brother Branham. I often read the testimonies on the VGR website and they show that our God still lives and reigns no matter the amount of unbelief but His Word matches ahead as in the days of our Lord.

I will also want to testify of the hand of the Lord in healing in our home. Our daughter who will be seven in a few weeks came back from school on a Friday with some light fever. I thought it was just a cold but to my surprise the temperature kept rising till on the following Monday she could not go to school.

My husband and I prayed for her and then headed to the hospital. When we finally went in to the doctor, she made her examination and a test and told us she had a flu that is in the class of bird flu and that there is no medicine against the virus.

Well all of us know what bird flu did to the world some years ago. But I wondered why my daughter? But then I remembered that Brother Branham often say if the devil cannot get you, he will try to get your children. I quickly took a prayer cloth from my Bible and placed it on our daughter. Brethren, she got worst as the eyes and the legs started paining. She could not even walk on her legs to the restroom. She often had attacks which comes with serious pains and very high temperature.

In these days, the testimonies on the VGR website really gave me courage and I believed all things will work for the healing of our daughter, as I was at my end. Her father prayed a whole night through and the next day he told me that Brother Branham often said when you are prayed up, then there is only one thing to do and that is “only believe.”

We saw the doctor on a Monday. She got worse on Wednesday. On Thursday we decided to stop the ibuprofen the doctor asked us to give her to keep the temperature down to prevent convulsions. From then on we often place hands on her and just trusted in the Lord. Since Thursday, and today is Saturday, my brethren, she has not had any attack and is recovering very well. She even started to eat and we give God all the Glory.

Again the Lord has come and manifested himself in the home of His unworthy servants. Praise be to our Lord for truly He is alive. As Brother Branham said when Ruth was scavenging on Boaz’s field, he asked his workers to once in a while drop a handful of barley for her. I believe this is a handful of barley that the Lord drops for His children once in a while to assure us of His love and presence.

I hope this testimony will encourage some one as healing some times may not be immediate but we are healed all the same by His stripes.
