Sometimes we feel like we are failing God or we have failed Him, and that's exactly when the devil steps in and tells you that you are not a son of God. But deep down inside a love for God rises up and you just say, "Satan, get thee behind me." You can't fake it. It’s got to be a true experience. That's how my Thursday started off. After reading the Quote Of The Day, Scripture, Family Altar, and praying, I went off to the bank. I dropped off my parents and then entered into the bank. The commercial area has approximately 12 seats in a small room. I entered quietly, shared my good mornings, and proceeded to take a number. I got number 95 when they were progressing from 74.
All the seats were taken, so I stood right around the number machine. I heard some news coming across the television in the room, so I stepped next to the door where a young lady sat so I could see around the pillar. After a few moments the next number called, and the lady right next to me got up to go in. I then took her seat. Less than a minute later, an elderly Indian man walked in and was attempting to take a number. I saw him fumbling, so I stood up and assisted him.
I was back to standing next to him, (waiting). So I was there on my phone, when I felt his hand touch me. He said, “You remind me of a time I was on a train in India, and there was an old lady standing and I got up and gave her my seat.” He said, “That woman asked me a question I want to ask you.” I looked him in the face as he asked, "Are you a Christian?” Oh what a feeling, what a joy, to know at the time you feel almost hopeless, that someone on the outside could see and bear witness to Christ in and through you.
He went on to tell me that he does missionary work, and asked for my name and number. I also told him that my father is a local pastor, which his was too. He took my father's name and contact also, and said he will call, he also wrote some Scriptures for me which was also a blessing.
I pray that he accepts the Message of the hour, and I pray that our little light may shine no matter how small a deed it may be.
God bless you.
