We are a small portion of the Bride found on an island in the Indian Ocean named Rodrigues, which is some 540km to the northeast of Mauritius. We had as a guest a Pastor of India (Chennai) and one from Durban recently at our church. The pastor from Durban was giving his testimony about the prophet. He mentioned that his grandfather was blessed to meet the prophet.
When Brother Branham visited Durban for the meetings in 1951, he stayed in a particular hotel where his grandfather worked. One day while the grandfather was serving the crew some meals, he overheard Brother Branham talking to some people about their meetings. When this was over, he approached the prophet and asked him, "Excuse me sir, but would you pray for my wife?" "Sure sir, go and bring her," was his reply. The grandfather told the prophet that they lived far from the hotel, and if he left to go back to fetch her by train, it would be too long and by the time he'd be back, the service might be over.
"No problem," said the prophet and he reached for his car keys in his pocket, "Take my car." The man replied, "Excuse me sir, but I do not even have money for the gasoline." Brother Branham reached into his other pocket and gave him some money for the gasoline.
I was so touched by our humble prophet. Just like Jesus, he was a great man but yet he worked in simplicity. This testimony touched my heart so much. I’m glad to have such a humble prophet like Brother Branham. With his Message he brings us closer to the Lord.
