Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Hello, I am twelve years old and I would like to share a testimony with you about how the Lord healed me. In April we noticed something strange about my back. My mom took me to a doctor, and I was diagnosed with scoliosis.

My x-rays looked awful. I had two curves, a fifteen degree curve and an eighteen degree curve. I must admit, when I saw my x-rays, I got really scared. The doctor said I would need to wear a back brace 24 hours a day, and that our goal was to avoid surgery. I got my back brace at the end of July and then about a week later, I went to Still Waters Camp 4. Before I went to camp my sister came up with the idea of having Brother Joseph sign my back brace. I thought it was a great idea, so when I went to camp on Friday I was looking for a chance to have Brother Joseph sign it. I never got a chance on Friday, but on Saturday me and a friend were in line for the jet skis, hoping to get a ride before lunch time.

Diagnosed with scoliosis.

While we were waiting, I noticed that Brother Joseph was standing a few feet away, watching us kids on the jet skis. It was a perfect opportunity! I walked over to him, he looked at me and said hello. I said, “Hi Brother Joseph, I was wondering if you could sign something for me.” I asked if he would wait while I went to get it. He said he would and a huge smile crossed my face as I ran up to the bunkhouse to get my back brace.

I ran back to Brother Joseph and said, “This is my back brace, and I was wondering if you could sign it for me.” Brother Joseph took my back brace and signed his name and a Scripture. I thanked him and went back to my friend. They called us in for lunch before me and my friend could get on the jet skis, but I was too happy to really care.

After camp I went to my scoliosis doctor again and got more x-rays. My two curves had already became a ten degree curve! I was so happy and so was my doctor. He said that this was a great chance to avoid surgery. After that me and my family always prayed for me and had faith, and I wore my back brace all the time. In October I had another appointment. Me and mom went, and I got more x-ray’s. Doctors looked at the x-rays on their computer. My doctor looked at another doctor and said, “Look, scoliosis… scoliosis gone.” He showed me and my mom the x-rays and my back was perfectly straight! Me and my mom left so happy and grateful. Something that takes most people years of wearing a back brace and having surgery only took me three months of wearing a back brace, and it's all thanks to the Lord who has healed me from scoliosis.

My dad says that all it took to get a straight back was prayer, faith, and to have a prophet sign your back brace! I couldn't agree with him more. I always thank God for healing me. I'm just a little girl in this big world, and still the Lord healed me. (Summer of 2019)
