My Defense

6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Psalm 62:6-8

What does God’s Word mean to a believer? It is everything to us. As David said in the Psalm, "Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us." And He hears our prayers!

We received the following testimony from a sister who put her trust in God’s Word through prayer, and, like always, her Rock was the defense she needed in a time of trouble.

About ten years ago I suffered a tremendous brown recluse spider bite. It quickly swelled up to size of baseball.

I finally went to the doctor my daughter worked for, and he worked diligently to save my leg. I had let it go way too long. It was a painful and long ordeal. Finally, after months I finally was ok.

About a year ago, I felt a sting and looked down at my leg and knew immediately I had been bit once again by a recluse.

I was upset, and I said Lord I have no money for doctor and no way to even go. I laid my hand on the spider bite and asked our Lord to heal me. The next morning it was completely gone. Simply because I told the truth I needed a miracle and I got one. Next morning all signs were good. Oh how I love my Lord Jesus Christ!
