I would like to give this testimony for the glory of God. I pray it is an encouragement to the Bride of Jesus Christ.
My family and I we're privileged to be able to go to Still Waters Camp 5 this year. It was Friday morning, and we were excited and under great anticipation for camp. We had already had our bags packed the night before, as all the kids wanted to be there as early as possible.
We had just finished putting the last of the bags in the back of the Suburban. The kids we're doing the final arranging of the luggage, and I had just turned to go back in and get my coffee. Then we would be heading to camp.
That's when I heard the back-hatch slam and my seven-year-old daughter start screaming hysterically. As I turned and looked, I saw her hand had been caught in the back hatch.
I immediately ran and tried to open the hatch. I remember pulling the handle rapidly about three times, but it would not open because her hand had the door in a bind. Then I cried out, "Help us Lord Jesus!" That's when it opened, and I just threw my hands around her and we fell to the ground and began to pray.
In my mind I knew her hand was broken, but we had not even looked at it yet. When she was still screaming, you can imagine all the thoughts the devil was putting in my head like, "Oh man, now we got to go to the emergency room and we are going to be late for camp." Then in my prayer I just said, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, nothing be broken." By that time she calmed down, and we looked at the damage.
The whole back side of her hand was black and blue with a very distinct indentation right across the back side of her hand. My wife had come out of the house with a bag of ice, and we thought we would just monitor the situation as we drove to camp.
Thirty-five minutes later we arrived at camp, and she did not even have one mark on her hand. She was laughing and playing with the other children. Thank the Lord He is truly a present help in time of trouble, Psalms 46.
Broken hand I cannot say accurately because we never went to the hospital, and you can't see broken, but I can say I have never seen a black and blue hand turn back to normal in 35 minutes.
God bless you.
